What is Dopamine Land Brisbane?
Originally launched in London, Dopamine Land has gained worldwide attention for its nostalgic and playful approach to entertainment. Now, Brisbane audiences can experience this unique exhibition, which blends elements of art, technology, and play to create a space where visitors can escape the everyday and indulge in carefree fun.
You wander through various rooms (10 to be exact, including the foyer and starting room), interacting with different activities as you go. Whether diving into a ball pit, stepping into a glowing mirror maze, or playing with digital projections, every room offers something new and exciting to explore, creating the ultimate sensory overload.
Throughout the experience, you will encounter several unique photo opportunities.
Highlights of Dopamine Land
Let me briefly run you through the main eight rooms of Dopamine Land.
Musical Tiles

A kinetic and audio experience encourages guests to unleash their creativity through musical composition, with each tile triggering a change in light and electronic melodies, culminating in a complete track.
Fun room to have a bit of a dance with the kids or your friends.
Digital Wonderland

An artificial recreation of a serene woodland featuring LED trees, mirrored spaces, and immersive soundscapes, inviting guests to immerse themselves in a tranquil, meditative atmosphere.
Writing Room
With paper walls, this is the chance for the kids to scribble on the walls to their heart’s content. Encourage them to write what’s on their mind or leave a special message for the next guests to read.
Lucid Dreams

A visual journey into the realms of visual autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) and vivid dreaming where guests can capture photos and selfies amidst a backdrop of surreal high-definition projections, thanks to animations created by talented Australian digital artist Cassie Troughton.
Galaxy of Lights

One of my favourite rooms, the lights, colours and reflections all combine to make a fantastic place for those TikTok selfies.
Story Tent

Another super fun room, the Story Tent, is full of red and white balloons – so many in fact that they’re barely contained in the room!
Pillow Fight

There isn’t a kid alive who isn’t going to love spending time in the Pillow Fight room. Take a pillow and take a corner, and once the buzzer goes, it’s time to pillow fight! In the gentlest way possible, of course!
Sunset Beach
Another popular room is Sunset Beach, which features a ball pit for the kids to get lost in. Mind you, it’s quite shallow; I’d like to see a little more depth in the pit so even the bigger kids (ie me!) can really get immersed in it.
Accessibility
Dopamine Land is wheelchair accessible; however, due to the nature of the experience some parts may be less suited to customers with physical access requirements, like the ball pit and the Pillow Fight room.
Guests requiring assistance throughout this experience can apply for one free pass for their personal assistant/support worker. Simply show proof of needing a carer ticket at the entrance and the carer will be allowed in for free.
Deaf people can enjoy this experience as it is mostly visual; however, we do not recommend this event for visually impaired people.
This attraction may contain strobe lights. Please let the staff know upon arrival if you have any sensitivities to flashing and bright lights.
Facilities and Amenities
While no toilets are inside Dopamine Land, Uptown has toilets on Levels A, E, 1, 2 and 3. Toilets providing access for the mobility impaired can be found on Levels E, 1, 2 & 3 and a parent’s room on Level 2.
Location
Dopamine Land is in the old Myer Centre in the Brisbane CBD, now called Uptown. The entry is on Level Q, just next to Just Jeans.
If you’re driving, I’d recommend parking at Uptown. If coming on the weekend, parking is only $11 per day or $10 if pre purchased online.
The location is also very convenient if you want to take a train or bus into town.
Tips for Visitors
There are many photo opportunities at Dopamine Land, so be sure to have a fully charged phone.
Allow around 1 hour to go through the attraction, although we spent about 30 minutes there.
Pricing and Booking Information
Tickets for Dopamine Land are $27.50 for 15+ and $20.50 for kids. For families, you can get discounted tickets for $19 per person. Kids under 2 are free.
You’ll need to book online and nominate a particular session time.

Who’s Dopamine really for?

Designed for all ages, Dopamine Land is perfect for families with younger kids up to the age of around 14. I took my daughter, aged 13, and she really enjoyed it. It was quite nice to go through with her and muck about.
I could see a bunch of young teenage girls going together having a ball – lots of great selfie and TikTok opportunities thats for sure.
Enjoy Dopamine Land Brisbane!
