Oaks Mon Komo Suites Review

Below, we cover all you need to know about staying at Oaks Mon Komo Suites, including its location, accommodation options, facilities, and dining options.

Location

With its prime location near Redcliffe’s attractions, such as the iconic Redcliffe Jetty, the Bee Gees Way (500 metres away), and several beautiful beaches, Oaks Mon Komo Suites is an ideal base for exploring this charming seaside town.

Oaks is just 600m from the Redcliffe Jetty, making it ideal for those staying in town for whale watching.  It’s also just steps away from a range of cafes and restaurants and on the doorstep of the popular Sunday Redcliffe Markets.

Those arriving in Redcliffe by public transport can easily reach Oaks by bus from either the Kippa Ring or Sandgare Train Station.

Accommodation Options

Oaks offer fantastic accommodation options, from standard hotel rooms to 1, 2, and 3 bedroom apartments.

The 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments are designed with short and extended stays in mind.  These fully equipped apartments feature contemporary décor, full modern kitchens with stainless steel appliances and laundry facilities, open plan living and dining areas and spacious balconies with outdoor furniture.

Even the hotel rooms are spacious, featuring a workspace and balcony. While these rooms don’t have kitchens, they have tea and coffee-making facilities, a microwave, crockery and a small fridge.

Apartments have the option of inland or ocean views, while all hotels face inland. All hotel rooms and apartments feature air conditioning, Foxtel, and free Wi-Fi.

During my recent visit, I stayed in a one bedroom apartment with ocean views, which was just stunning!  The balconies on the ocean view apartments are absolutely massive – there is just so much space here; it’s the perfect spot to lounge about while enjoying the gorgeous views of Moreton Bay.

Facilities

Below, we cover the on-site facilities for guests staying at Oaks Mon Komo.

The Pool

One of the stunning features of this Oaks hotel is the outdoor infinity pool overlooking the waterfront. Perched on an elevated deck, the pool creates the illusion of blending seamlessly with the ocean, making it the perfect place for a refreshing dip.

The pool is open daily from 7 am to 8 pm.

The Gym

The Oaks gym offers a very small gym that simply features a bike, treadmill, an weight machine.

The Komo

The Komo is a waterfront venue that offers a blend of dining, entertainment, and relaxation, all set against the stunning backdrop of Moreton Bay. With spacious indoor and outdoor seating, it’s the perfect spot to soak up the coastal vibes, whether you’re enjoying breakfast, a casual lunch, a sunset drink, or a night out with friends.

The Komo’s menu is diverse, featuring pub favourites such as chicken parmy, burgers, and steak, as well as a chicken rotisserie menu for something a little unusual but nice.

For breakfast, expect everything from the basics, such as eggs your way and granola, to something a little more hearty like eggs bene or a breakfast burger.  Everything is well priced, with meals averaging around $15 to $20.  There’s even a kids menu too, and they eat free on Sundays!

The bar offers an extensive selection of wines, craft beers, and signature cocktails, making it a fantastic place to unwind and enjoy the beautiful bay views.

Opening Hours: Daily from 7.30 am to late (kitchen closes 8.30 pm Sunday to Thursday and 9 pm Friday and Saturdays)
