Hello! I’m Melissa, a Queenslander born and bred! I was born in Brisbane in the 1970s and have never left.
Well, that’s not entirely true – I love to travel the world and you may very well know me from one of my many other travel websites, including The Queensland Travel Guide, My Practical Travel Guide or Thrifty Family Travels. However, I’m very lucky to call Brisbane home and when I’m not travelling the world, I just love getting out exploring my own backyard.
Brisbane and the surrounding area are really fantastic places to explore! The city is vibrant, with beautiful dining and shopping precincts. We have beautiful parks and gardens to explore, and further afield, there are some fantastic national parks to explore.
Brisbane is also a great base for exploring nearby areas such as the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, and Scenic Rim. You’re certainly not sure of places to explore in South East Queensland.
I’ve created The Brisbane Travel Guide to help visitors and locals make the most of their time here. Whether you’re looking for things to do during a week-long holiday or need some inspiration on what to do this weekend, you’ll find plenty of information on The Brisbane Travel Guide.
And you don’t even just have to take my word for how amazing Brisbane and the surrounding areas are! We have a whole community at your fingertips where you can get up-to-date local knowledge any time of the day or night. Join our Queensland Travel Guide FB group right here, right now!
I’m so pleased to have you here and can’t wait to share all my insights about Brisbane. More importantly, I can’t wait for you to get out there and see it for yourself.
And don’t forget if you need any help planning your trip, you can always book a one on one travel consultation with me.
