The FRIENDS Experience Brisbane: Everything You Need to Know

The Brisbane Travel Guide acknowledges the Turrbal and Yuggera people, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which The FRIENDS Experience is situated. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, and recognise their continued spiritual and cultural connections to Country. Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.

If you’re a fan of Friends, this is one experience in Brisbane you won’t want to miss.

Bringing one of the world’s most beloved TV shows to life, The FRIENDS Experience: The One in Brisbane invites you to step inside the iconic world of Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Joey and Phoebe.

From instantly recognisable sets to interactive photo moments, this immersive exhibition is equal parts nostalgia, entertainment and fun.

What to Expect

The FRIENDS Experience is an interactive exhibition that recreates some of the most iconic moments and locations from the hit television series.

Rather than a traditional museum-style display, this is a fully immersive experience where you can walk through sets, interact with props and recreate your favourite scenes.

Expect:

  • Detailed set recreations that feel instantly familiar
  • Props and costumes from the series
  • Behind-the-scenes insights into the show
  • Plenty of photo opportunities throughout

Highlights include:

  • Monica and Rachel’s apartment
  • Chandler and Joey’s recliner chairs
  • The famous “Pivot!” sofa moment
  • The iconic Central Perk café and orange couch

It’s designed to feel like stepping into the show itself, with plenty of opportunities for photos along the way.

Whether it’s sitting on the Central Perk couch or posing at Monica’s kitchen bench, the experience is designed to be playful, nostalgic and shareable.

Accessibility

The FRIENDS Experience is wheelchair accessible, and guests requiring assistance throughout this experience can apply for one free pass for their personal assistant/support worker. Simply show proof of needing a carer ticket at the entrance, and the carer will be allowed in for free.

Service dogs are also welcome.

Facilities and Amenities

While there are no toilets inside the Exhibition, Uptown has toilets on Levels A, E, 1, 2, and 3.

Toilets providing access for the mobility-impaired are located on Levels E, 1, 2 & 3, and a parent’s room is on Level 2.

Location

The FRIENDS Experience is in the old Myer Centre in the Brisbane CBD, now called Uptown.   The entry is on Level Q, just next to Just Jeans.

If you’re driving, I’d recommend parking at Uptown. If coming on the weekend, parking is only $13 per day or $10 if pre purchased online.

The location is also very convenient if you want to take a train or bus into town.

How long does it take?

To wander through all the various rooms, read all the material, view all the items on display, take all the selfies and watch all the video footage, you could spend a few hours at the exhibition.  However, I’d suggest allowing about 1 hour for the visit.

Pricing and Booking Information

Tickets for The FRIENDS Experience are from $33 for 13+ and $22 for kids.  For families, you can get discounted tickets from $24 per person.  Kids under 3 are free.

You’ll need to book online and nominate a particular session time.

The FRIENDS Experience is open Thursday through Sunday from 10 am to 7 pm.

Who Should Visit?

If you’re a Friends fan — even a casual one — this is an easy yes.

The experience is fun, light-hearted and very easy to enjoy, whether you go solo, with friends or as part of a group. It’s less about deep storytelling and more about reliving familiar moments in a new, interactive way.

This experience is ideal for:

  • Fans of Friends
  • Groups of friends looking for a fun outing
  • Couples
  • Families (all ages are welcome)
  • Visitors to Brisbane

It’s especially popular for those who enjoy interactive, photo-friendly experiences, and makes a great indoor activity if you’re looking for something a little different to the usual sightseeing.
