LOCATION

Avocado Sunset Bed and Breakfast is nestled in the Gold Coast Hinterland in the heart of Mt Tamborine, offering stunning views of the Scenic Rim and the Great Dividing Range.

An hour’s drive from Brisbane City and 35 minutes from the Gold Coast, the location is perfect for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and immerse themselves in nature. Surrounded by lush rainforests and scenic lookouts, it’s a serene retreat ideal for nature lovers.

ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS

Avocado Sunset has four rooms, accommodating up to 8 guests.

Each room is designed to provide comfort and relaxation, featuring amenities such as comfortable beds, private ensuites, and stunning views.

The rooms are decorated in themes including the Safari Room, the Daintree Room (as pictured here), the Mediterranean Room and the Oriental Suite. Each room has a TV, air conditioning/heating and free Wi-Fi and opens up to the large communal lounge.

If available, I would choose the Safari and Daintree Rooms (starting at $252 per night). These rooms each feature a huge double spa bath and a private deck with spectacular views. The Safari Room even has its own log burning stove – perfect for those cold winter weekends.

The Mediterranean Room (starting at $229 per night) is also an excellent room, with a massive deck and great views. While there is no spa bath here, there is a gorgeous deep bath to soak in.

For those wanting loads of space, consider the Oriental Suite (starting at $229 per night). As well as the bedroom, this comes with its very own lounge featuring a log fireplace and a private courtyard (but no views).

Each room also features a coffee pod machine, kettle, tea, wine glasses, and a few complimentary treats in the minibar.

BREAKFAST

As a bed and breakfast, the Avocado Sunset offers a generous home-cooked breakfast each morning. The menu includes a variety of options, from traditional cooked breakfasts to lighter fare like fresh fruits, yoghurt, and juices.

Hosts Jilly and Mel will take your order and make your breakfast exactly as you like it.

FACILITIES

In addition to the fabulous in room amenities, Avocado Sunset has a cozy communal lounge area where guests can relax. You’ll even find complimentary port here.

There is also a deck where guests can unwind and take in the panoramic views.

The B&B also offers complimentary parking and free Wi-Fi throughout the property.
